Daily Feline Prompt: Celebrate Good Times Feline Style

You receive some wonderful, improbable, hoped-for good news. How do you celebrate?

Fluffy in the living room

“Fluffy that is not one of your best photos.”

“I know, it was a bad fur day, but Mrs. Human said it would be a good photo to show my Selkirk Rex details.”

“And did she win a prize for the photo?”

“I don’t think so. We can be glad when she doesn’t do one of those stupid photoshop photo of us with silly party hats perched between our ears. That is so embarrassing and we are the joke of the neighbourhood.

Are we going to celebrate today?”

“Do what Fluffy? Since when do we felines have celebrations, it is beneath our dignity, or did someone see that the ginger tom from next door decided to leave. That would be something worth celebrating, that tom prowls around all the time sticking his whiskers and paws into stuff that has nothing to do with him. I wish his human slave would put a few photos of him in Internet with a silly hat, and perhaps glasses. He would never be taken serious again.”

“I know what we could do Tabby, we could have a sleep or two to celebrate waking up again.”

“Now that is a good idea Fluffy. I can even hear the magical sound of the tin opener coming from Mrs. Human’s kitchen, meaning that we can enhance our celebration after the sleep with a delicious meal of tuna fish.”

  1. I can celebrate today. It is not raining, the fur children are outside enjoying this mild summer day and the smell of freshly mown grass. Tell your felines I think they are very dignified, no matter how many party hats you Photoshop on their little fuzzy heads.

    • Unfortunately my fur masters have other opinions about dressing up for a photo. Today is summer weather and Tabby is searching for places in the garden to hide from the sun. It is quite funny to see where she disappears to. This afternoon she climbed into the sage plant and afterwards was between the two apple trees. Fluffy just goes in and out all the time which can be a nuisance as we have to open the window for him, being blind.
