Daily Feline Prompt: Feline sara, sara

Do you believe in feline fate or do you believe you can control your own destiny?

Fluffy

“What a silly question to ask, especially a feline. It is all in the whiskers and Bastet decides when she holds a lottery to see who is getting the 10th life.”

“But tabby, I do not think I am ready for my tenth life yet.”

“That is another decision you do not have to make. Bastet does it all for us.”

“You mean she decides whether I will drift up to the eternal corn chambers through a slip of fate.”

“Of course Fluffy, our destiny is formed by a feline sara, sara.”

“They were the words I didn’t quite understand.”

“It is Italian meow.”

Why so complicated. Meow Meow would have been just as good.”

“Ah yes Fluffy, but Italian is the language of romance.”

“Tabby, I don’t find anything romantic about getting my tenth life. According to my calculations, I lost a life (and a couple of eyes) when I was two years old, and two disappeared when I made two attempts at the great escape. Crossing the main road and not seeing what is coming is a fateful decision in itself. I remember once when I ate a flower and had to visit the vet. Bastet appeared and said that it was a near miss then, and I could say goodbye to my fourth life.”

“Yes, Fluffy, but you are still here with some lives in reserve. I think I still have 8 lives, but I am a careful feline and do not take risks.”

“Of course not Tabby, you just run away. That is the perfect method of life preservation.”

“So enough of this morbid talk Fluffy. Remember the more we sleep, the more lives are saved.”

“Yes Tabby, very wise. Wake me up for dinner.”

  1. Dear Tabby and Fluffy, I think it was just luck that you got to live with Mr and Mrs Swiss and I got to live with Martha and my sisters. It’s just good luck that our Human bought my little sister a new toy (that she loves and which is filthy and which she just brought in and gave to our human). We dogs have only one life so I try to enjoy it. I hope Martha takes us for a walk soon. Yours forever, Dusty T. Dog.

    • Meow Dusty
She bought your little sister a bone which she has already buried and now it is filthy, yes canines like that sort of thing I suppose. We felines tend to think a little from the other direction. Mrs. and Mrs. Swiss can be grateful that we decided to live with them. Canines might have only one life, but it reaches i various dimensions I am sure. No walks for us today, the water is falling downwards, so we are having a sleep for a change. Have fun – perhaps you could take the shopping bag in your mouth and bring to your human, it might give her an idea to take a walk.

  2. Tabby and Fluffy, I truly believe in karma but I think it doesn’t exist in your meow. Your human is very well aware of it and look at her, she is so dedicated towards your needs. Who else can feed you on daily basis and clean your recycling trays? She has surrendered and knows her fate. You better learn to create your destiny by preparing yourself for tenth life.

    • No problem, we just take it as it comes. Yesterday was a rany day, so we stayed indoors and slept through the bad weather. Today the sun is shining, so we are out and about making the scenery uncertain. You can call it what you want to, but we make the most of it, “don’t we Mrs. Human”. she did not hear us, busy with cleaning our recycling tray.
