Daily Feline Prompt: Feline Exposure

Untitled

“Mrs. Human you are constantly taking photos of me. Today I am not in the mood.”

“I know, but I have a new programme and can upload my photos much quicker so I am trying it out.”

“Then try it out somewhere else, with Mr. Human perhaps.”

“I did, but he was not very happy about it.”

“And so you take a photo of me, and I am also not very happy about it. ”

“That is a shame, as it is such a good photo, I was thinking of entering it into a contest for the most photogenic feline of the year.”

“Then let me have a look. What is the prize?”

“I think I get a contract to have 12 photos take of you, for a calendar, one for each month of the year.”

“And me, what do I get out of it?”

“You will become famous. You will have your own fan club and be recognised everywhere.”

“Oh great, but I cannot eat fame and recognition.”

“Just a moment, there is small print at the bottom of the application. “All winning owners of felines we be presented with a free supply of our wonderful, healthy, vitamin pellets for a year.” Oh that would be wonderful Tabby, a nice balanced meal every day for a year.”

“Forget it Mrs. Human. You do not own me, you belong to my staff, a personal slave, and it sounds more like a years sentence that a prize. But keep the photo. It would be a good one to replace my photo on Pawbook. It makes me look more mature and serious. And now search for an application form for a competition where the first prize will be a year’s supply of tuna fish.”

  1. Funny! Whenever I am trying to take a picture of my cat, she turns her head away. I have no idea why and she never tells me. So I am left to keep trying to take her picture and once in awhile I do catch her face. Too bad she never smiles. Love your dialogue with our cat. We do that all the time with ours.

    • Yesterday Mrs. Human caught me unaware. I did not have time to look in the opposite direction. I will have to consider charging for my photos and extra if my fans want them with a pawprint.

Mrs. Human caught me totally unprepared, otherwise I would have turned my head. On the other paw it is not a bad studio photo of me. I hope some scouts for Feline of the Year are watching my blog, I might get a contract and become a start amongst felines. Perhaps I should tell Mrs. Human to put my pawprint on the photos.
