Daily Feline Prompt: Prudent Feline

Tabby

“Tired Tabby?”

“I am worn out Mrs. Human with all that celebrating yesterday for my birthday. I even got a virtual birthday card from Dusty, my canine online colleague.”

“A canine? I thought you were not into dogs.”

“At a distance always Mrs. Human. Dusty also has his problems, but they are more to do with walks and squirrels. I do my own walks, and concentrate more on mice and birds.”

“You see Tabby, felines and canines are not really so different.”

“Ok, Mrs. Human, just because I happen to have online conversations with a dog, it does not mean that you have to adopt one . Here it is cats first .”

“No problem Tabby, I do not have the room for a dog and you give me enough to do.”

“By the way I have forgiven you that you did not get me the diamond stuudded cat flap for my birthday or the Versace food bowl. You can now save up for a new collar with a chip on it.”

“That is a good idea Tabby, you mean I would find you quicker by using my telephone remote.”

“Not quite Mrs. Human. The chip I mean is a collar for for humans to wear. It means I would be able to find you when you would be needed to open the door or for any other personal favours. Just a paw pressure on the remote hanging on my collar and you would be directed to my presence by magnetic force.”

“That wasn’t exactly what I meant Tabby.”

  1. Aww. 😦 I missed wishing Tabby a Happy Birthday!! I hope Tabby got tuna fish instead of pellets as a grand birthday dinner!! How many years IS Tabby now? (if that’s not offensive to Tabby. Some things are best kept secret, no? ) 😉

  2. Dear Tabby, I’m happy you had a nice birthday! In honor of your birthday, we all got tuna fish. Otherwise, things are very boring at the moment because our human doesn’t feel well. I don’t think we’ll get a walk today, either. I hope tomorrow. It’s supposed to snow! I don’t care much about snow — I can take it or leave it — but it seems to make my human and my little sister, Bear, very happy. I wish you were here because we haven’t had any luck getting the mouse. Our human is thinking of getting a terrier. I just don’t know about another dog. Yours forever and ever, Dusty T. Dog

    • Meow Dusty
Felines and canines all over the world should be celebrating my birthday with tuna fish. I hate snow, it is cold and not paw friendly. It is now mouse hunting season, they are busy building their homes for the new families. Even the birds are building nests, but they are too high up for me to reach. Does your human supply full bord and lodging? And the main thing, how is it with the hard tasteless vitamin pellets? If it meat and fish to eat, I might think about moving in at your place. Please do not be insulted, but the dogs must have their territory and I must have mine. I cannot work efficiently exterminating mice when dogs poke their noses in.

      • Hi Tabby, Martha here. All Dusty would do is point out the mouse. He doesn’t understand hunting and catching the mouse, so I think you could work as a team. Probably you would be fed vitamin pellets. I’m sorry but the benefits are real — better teeth, healthy coat, all those things. But every once in a while you would have something special. I’m afraid I’m very like your human in this regard. Anyway, it’s a long flight from Feldbrunnen to Monte Vista and I should probably find a local cat because your human would miss you very much. ❤ Martha
