Daily Feline Prompt: Tame Feline

Tabby

“Mrs. Human, I am bored.”

“What’s the problem Tabby?”

“Life is now boring since I killed all the leaf soldiers. There is nothing more to conquer. Perhaps you have something for me to do.”

“No Tabby, but if you are patient the leaf soldiers will return again next year.”

“What about the snow?”

“The snow?”

“Yes, I remember the snow falling after the leaf soldiers disappeared last year. I killed that as well..”

“I don’t remember Tabby.”

“That was an easy job. The snow fell on my head but it was painless and then it fell to the ground.”

“Did you fight it until the bitter end.”

“No, it was not necessary. I must have scared it so much with my ferocious attacks that it disappeared on its own, although I had wet paws afterwards.”

“That was because it melted.”

“It did not melt. I scared it so much that it retreated. It is just a matter of applying the right tactics. You have to pounce on the leaf soldiers and tread them until they call for mercy. The snow is a coward. It does not fight, it retreats, although I am sure it will return again. It is an eternal fight with these aggressions and they always appear at the same time in the same places.”

“Thank goodness you do not have to fight the sun.”

“Yes Mrs. Human, that is a losing battle, but I have my devious escape route.”

“What do you do?”

“I stay inside of course, the sun does not enter my private appartment. In the evening it retreats and I can rest under a tree. The tree protects me from the sun battle.”

“Oh, I see Tabby. That is your explanation of the weather.”

“What’s weather Mrs. Human? It does not exist in meow.”

    • I just walk around in it, bare paw, and it makes a nice pattern before it goes away. That might work for you. You can also perhaps pee on it, although Mrs. Human says that humans don’t do that sort of thing.

  1. Dear Tabby, You might know that it snowed yesterday here where I live with my human. My “little” sister was thrilled. My human seemed confused, but she took us out for a walk, I think for the sake of my “little” sister. Today everything is normal again and the snow is retreating quickly. Our human isn’t in a very good mood and when my “little” sister and I were trying to help her feel better, I did something that upset Bear. I don’t know what. But I was here to care for my human first and Bear needs to know that. Sometimes things are not totally peaceful in our pack, but, thank goodness, most of the time they are. I’ll let you know tomorrow if we have any adventures today. Yours forever and ever, Dusty T. Dog

Strange species the dogs. We felines avoid anything that means wet if it comes from above. If it is below we have a free choice what we do with it. Snow is to be avoided at all, times. The human purpose is to remove the snow where we felines tread as it has a negative effect on the paws. I took a walk today to be sure that the leaf soldiers were no longer moving. They were all dead, so I was successful.
