Daily Feline Prompt: Feline Horizon

Tabby

“Tabby, what are you doing beneath the cupboard in the bathroom. I was searching for you everywhere.”

“I was searching for the horizon.”

“And did you find it?”

“If I found it I would not be searching. It is blocked by something in front of my nose.”

“That is the weighing machine in the bathroom. You are in the wrong place for a horizon.”

“I though horizons were everywhere. It seems someone has stolen the horizon.”

“It varies how far you can see.”

“I can see very far, if it wasn’t for this white thing in front of my nose. I am also surrounded by walls.”

“If you sit in the bathroom you are in a small space, perhaps you could go outside.”

“Go outside? It is cold outside and the sky could fall on my head.”

“Skies do not fall on heads Tabby, they remain where they are and you can see the horizon outside.”

“It doesn’t work Mrs. Human, there is grass in the way and bushes and trees.”

“That is the edge of your horizon Tabby. You are not tall enough to see further.”

“In that case I will remain where I am. You can shift that white weighing machine away, then I can see futher. Oh, that doesn’t work, there is a wall at the end of the horizon.”

“Tabby that is what I told you, you must go outside for a horizon.”

“But it’s cold and the sky might fall on my head.”

“Tabby I think we have had this conversation before. Just go to sleep.”

“Yes good idea, there are no horizons in sleep. Wake me up when my food is ready.”

“Of course, no problem.”

  1. It’s time to tell Tabby the story or Henny Penny (or Chicken Little and sometimes as Chicken Licken). “The sky is falling!” is a big part of the story. Maybe Tabby could be the NEW Chicken Little and convince the other animals that the sky is falling.
