Daily Feline Prompt: Above the feline

“At last a place where I can relax away from the humans.”

“Tabby what are you doing on the floor, that is not a good place to sleep.”

“I knew it. As soon as I find somewhere that suits my transcendential feelings, a human appears and ruins the aura of my world.

Mrs. Human this is an ideal place to relax. I have a smooth stone heated surface to lay on and protective walls. All I need is peace and quiet and no human interruptions.”

“Are you sure Tabby, are you really happy laying on the floor. There is a nice comfortable chair where you can relax.”

“Mrs. Human I do not need a nice comfortable chair when I have a floor. And I have breathing space above. I am in my own world. As Sigmund Cat Freud said “The feline mind is like an iceberg, it floats with one-seventh of its bulk above in dreams of the nine lives and the remainder stays firmly on the ground where it is warm and comfortable.”

“Did Sigmund Cat Freud also tell you that if there is too much floating, it could possibly be that you might not see your bowl of tuna fish on the lower levels.”

“I am on my way, that was the next step in the advanced aboveness of the feline logic. I had not got to that part yet.”

  1. You got your storm, now we have ours. There’s a lot of stuff blowing around out there. Something banged against the house and the dogs were interested, but NOT interested enough to go out there to check it out. The rain’s nearly a solid sheet. Yeesh.

Stay dry, stay warm, and don’t forget the tuna!
