Feline RDP Friday: Feline Laundry

“This is overwhelming Mrs. Human. Piles of laundry and folded and I now have the agony of choice.”

“What did you meow Tabby? There is no choice. They are the clean towls and linen and will be put in the cupboard until I need them.”

“What a waste Mrs. Human.”

“Not at all, so find somewhere else to relax, but not on my laundry Tabby .”

“But it is so inviting. What a wonderful place to have a feline sleep.”

“No Tabby, your feline sleeps take hours and afterwards my clean washing is full of cat fur.”

“But you can brush it off if it disturbs you, although I find it a good finishing touch.”

“Tabby you have cushions to lay on, and blankets. This is my washing.”

“It would be something completely different and it smells almost perfect. It just needs a touch of feline aroma.”

“Tabby we have enough feline aroma here. I do not need it on my clean linen.”

“OK, no problem.”

“Tabby what are you doing in the cupboard.”

“Just preparing a bed for a sleep.”

“But I wanted to put the linen in the cupboard.”

“No problem, I will move over and leave you enough space.”*

  1. Polly loves to sleep in the linen cupboard although she doesn’t do it as often as she used to. I got so fed up with finding hair on the towels that eventually I just cleared off a shelf for her and put an old cushion in there. David used to call it “Polly’s apartment” and when she sticks her head out to see what’s going on it is rather like an apartment dweller leaning out of an open window.

      • Yes, Polly has many other hidey holes around the house. She is often under a bed. She is a skittish cat and the first thing she does in a new location is find the hiding places which made life interesting when we were evacuated during the bushfires.
