Daily Feline Prompt: Feline Discoveries

Tabby

Meow everyone. Today I discovered a new sleeping place. It it not really new, but in the human room where there is too much noise and action for a quiet feline lady like myself. I prefer it quiet, with no unnecessary excitement. Mrs. Human is constantly thrusting her telephone camera in front of my nose and asking me to smile for a photo. Humans are funny that way. Who needs photos? I prefer the real thing that you can smell. Photos do not smell, meaning you cannot test them for eating purposes, which means they do not exist and have no interest for a feline.

At the moment Mrs. Human is playing with this thing she calls computer and has left me on my own, thank goodness. ¬†She is always asking complicated questions beiginning with the human word “Why”. “Why are you sleeping?” (because I am tired and a feline needs at least 23 hours sleep during a day), “Why are you not eating those delicious vitamin kibbles?” (because they are hard and tasteless). “Why do you not want to go out for a walk?” (because there is a feline twice as big as I am that is invading my territory and has a reputation of being the killer cat of the neighbourhood).

These are all felines aspects of life that Mrs. Human does not understand. She asked me why I never sleep on the chair where I am now sleeping. I really did not want to hurt her felines by explaining that a felines needs to get away from things now and again, and curl up in a place where there is no-one. Now I am alone and I am enjoying my rare moments on a leather armchair.

As soon as I discover that a tin opener is being used, I will awake, refresh myself with a quick lick and apply action. Tin opener noise means tuna fish, I discovered that when I moved in and enslaved Mrs. Human. I am convinced she is eternally thankful to me for giving her a purpose. Yes, she has discovered the necessity of having a feline in her human life.
